Narration:
Engineering Safety Investigation conducted on the four (4) level bank building, sequel to observation of:
- Spalling of soffit of third floor slab & service stairs landing
- Long diagonal cracks (3mm to 7mm wide) on the short opposite sides of the archives
- Rainwater ingress into rear sections of the ground floor
- Spalling of the rear left side column
Report of investigation concluded that:
- The third floor slab panel P12 be carefully demolished 250mm beyond its extents and re-constructed
- Likewise, the cover slab to the service stairs be repaired, with a drainpipe to pipe out the stormwater collected there, all the way down to the ground
- The cracked short walls to the archives be replaced using engineering clay bricks that can better sustain load
- The rear left edge column be repaired
