Narration:
Engineering Safety Investigation conducted on the Two (2) level bank building, sequel to an Armed Insurgency attack against it.
Report of the investigation concluded that;
- The overall structural integrity of the building remains intact, and has not been rendered unserviceable by reason of the explosions impacted upon it,
- But for the robustness of the engineering system of the building, the consequences of the explosion could have been far more disastrous,
- The structural elements identified in the distress map; Column at 5b/C, Lip of Pre-vault wall, opening in slab above the Pre-vault door, Spans 1 & 3 of Bm 13 must be repaired,
- Large opening (resulting from poor-compaction of concrete at the roof slab over the banking hall), must be hacked out & reworked,
All ground floor walls identified in the distress map must be carefully dismantled and repaired.
