Narration:
Engineering Safety Investigation conducted on the two (2) level building, sequel to a bomb explosion at the adjacent main market, which sent considerable shock waves to the bank facility.
Report of the investigation concluded that:
- No repair work needed to be carried out on the structural system of the bank building
- Mortar rendering needs to be applied to cover exposed steel reinforcement at two locations on the roof beams (the contractor has been shown what to do)
- Adjustments need to be made to some sagging suspended ceiling hangers over the banking hall to restore them to the horizontal soffit
