Client: GT BANK
Project Duration: 12 August 2015 to 22 August 2015
Narration:
Engineering Safety Investigation conducted on the three (3) level bank building, sequel to the repeated observation of vibrations of the bank building.
Report of the investigation concluded that:
- The vibrations observed in the building resulted from some heavy-duty construction work taking place within close proximity to the bank
- The overall building structure exhibited no signs of distress (indeed it satisfactorily bridled the “tremors”) and is hereby certified structurally intact from the results of the tests
- The hairline cracks observed on the building envelope can be treated by grinding and filling with epoxy material; this is then screeded with putty and painted over neatly
- Columns should be introduced at the three points on the rear fence with long diagonal cracks to limit their propagation
